The Shubunkin is a hardy and colorful fish that is perfect for outdoor ponds or larger aquariums. They are part of the goldfish family and have a unique color pattern that includes shades of blue, orange, black, and white. Shubunkins can grow up to 30 centimeters in length and prefer water temperatures between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius.
Shubunkins are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods such as flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms. They are active swimmers and enjoy a spacious tank or pond with plenty of hiding spots and vegetation. Shubunkins are peaceful fish and can be kept with other peaceful species of similar size. With proper care and maintenance, Shubunkins can live up to 10 years or more.
