Scissor Tail
Scissor Tail Tetras are a popular choice for aquarium enthusiasts due to their unique shape and active nature. They are a schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 to ensure they feel safe and secure in their environment.
Scissor Tail Tetras grow to a length of around 5-6 centimeters and are comfortable in water temperatures between 22-26°Celsius. They prefer slightly acidic to neutral water conditions with a pH between 6.5-7.5.
These tetras are omnivorous and will readily accept a varied diet consisting of high-quality flakes, pellets, and frozen foods such as brine shrimp and bloodworms. Feeding them a varied diet will help to keep them healthy and maintain their vibrant colors.
In addition to being active swimmers, Scissor Tail Tetras are known for their playful nature and are a great addition to a community aquarium. They are peaceful with other non-aggressive fish and can coexist with a wide range of tank mates.
