Rummy Nose
Rummy Nose
The Rummy Nose Tetra is a small and popular freshwater fish that is often kept in community aquariums. These fish are named for their distinctively red and white striped nose, which resembles a rummy or gin bottle. They are peaceful and social creatures that thrive in groups of six or more.
Rummy Nose Tetras are typically about 4-5 centimeters in length when fully grown, and they prefer to live in water that is between 23-27 degrees Celsius. They are relatively hardy fish that can adapt to a variety of water conditions, although they prefer soft, slightly acidic water with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5.
These fish are omnivores and will eat a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, freeze-dried or frozen foods, and live foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms. It's important to provide a balanced diet for your Rummy Nose Tetras to ensure they stay healthy and vibrant.
