Purple Emperor
Purple Emperor
The Purple Emperor Tetra is a stunning freshwater fish that is popular among aquarists for its vibrant coloration and active personality. These fish are relatively small and typically grow to a maximum size of around 5-6 centimeters in length. They prefer a water temperature between 24-28°C, and a pH range between 6.5 and 7.5.
In the wild, Purple Emperor Tetras are omnivorous and feed on a variety of small aquatic invertebrates, algae, and other plant matter. In an aquarium setting, they will accept a wide range of commercially available flake and pellet foods, as well as live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia.
It is important to note that Purple Emperor Tetras are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals. They are also relatively peaceful and can be housed with other small, non-aggressive fish. With proper care and attention, these fish can live for several years in an aquarium setting.
